Primary 6 is an exciting year full of learning, discovery, and new experiences! Our topics this year include Northern Ireland, The Vikings, Forces & Energy, and The Rainforest, giving pupils the chance to explore history, geography, and science in creative and meaningful ways.

We enjoy reading engaging novels such as Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and The Explorer, which spark imagination and inspire great discussions. Writing skills are a big focus too—recently, we’ve been working on letter writing and procedural writing to develop clear and confident communication.

In Numeracy, we’ve been tackling factors, multiples, multiplication, and bus stop division, building strong problem-solving skills.

Primary 6 is also packed with memorable experiences! Each year, pupils take part in a one-night residential trip, filled with fun outdoor activities and teamwork. Every other year, our P6s shine on stage in a school production, showcasing their creativity and confidence.

It’s a year of challenge, growth, and plenty of fun—preparing our pupils for the exciting journey ahead!
