We are a Green Flag Eco School!

We are currently updating our Green Flag Award in Lisnasharragh Primary School. We have previously enjoyed great Eco success and the boys and girls are excited to work on this year’s green flag initiatives! This gives us official Eco-School status and confirms that the children and the staff at Lisnasharragh are concerned about ecological issues within the school and the surrounding area.

The Eco Schools Assessors said, "There are many activities going on and lots of enthusiasm is evident. The school is very strong regarding recycling. All children and staff are involved. The school is very creative and displays originality with some of the ideas including eco snitches, monster box, eco mascot and eco songs. There are never ending strengths."

Our Eco-Schools programme aims to promote environmental awareness of the entire school. An awareness of the environment and a pride in our school and community is an important part of our school ethos. In Lisnasharragh Primary our Eco Committee is led by Mrs Armstrong and Mrs McCleery. The Eco Committee is made up of a number of children from P4-7.

We have now received our Fifth Green Flag Award!

We are a Green Flag award holder since 2015!
